Our Story
The Spark
We got into volunteering because we genuinely wanted to help, and we found it harder to get started than it needed to be. Days of emails, resumes sent to organizations just looking for an extra pair of hands, and very little response. The goodwill was there. The path to act on it wasn’t clear enough.
The Shift
We came to appreciate something along the way: when one person shows up, it matters. But when a whole community is connected and it becomes easy to show up together, something much greater becomes possible. We began to wonder what it would look like if we could remove the barriers entirely, and that question became Neibo.
The Hope
We built Neibo to be the kind of tool we wished had existed: simple, respectful of your time, and genuinely useful. We hope that more people can habitually find their way to volunteering through Neibo, and something shifts. Not just for individuals, but for communities. We believe that’s how a movement starts. One person, one neighbourhood, one good deed at a time.
